Douglas D. Lee, M.D.

Dr. Lee is a board certified Anesthesiologist who currently serves as Chairman on the Arizona State Medical Board. Dr. Lee graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Arizona.
Dr. Lee completed his internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and served as the General Medical Officer 3rd Marine FSSG in Okinawa, Japan. He completed his residency at Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego where he also served as the Chief Resident.
Dr. Lee knew at a young age he wanted to become an anesthesiologist because he had younger brothers with significant diseases requiring constant medical visits. He decided in his early teens to be a part of a profession that was so dedicated to taking care of people.
Dr. Lee found math, pharmacology, physiology, and working with his hands made Anesthesia a good fit for him. He enjoys caring for patients in the acute setting of Surgical Services and finds it to professionally gratifying.
